Top Apps for creating exercise motivation

22 March 2021

We know finding the motivation to get out and exercise can be quite hard sometimes! Here are some apps that might be able to help you.

You often see Instagram and Tik Tok full of high energy fitness fanatics preaching about HIIT workouts or how they’re training for another Iron Man, but not everyone is on that level. However, if you’re remotely interested in improving your fitness or training for an event of that calibre then we’re going to show you what’s out there for easing yourself into a more active lifestyle.

One that is making headlines, is Couch to 5K. This is something developed by the amazing key workers of the NHS. Available in the form of an app, it provides simple steps to reach your goal with extra motivational podcasts to keep you on track.

If you’re into data and statistics, then the Fitbit App Mobile Tracker could also be an option. You won’t need a Fitbit for this app either, although with a smart device, you can track more things like calories burned and heart rate stats. This is also a good way of keeping yourself motivated, as you can set goals and up the tempo if you feel your lagging behind in your efforts. It’s definitely one to look out for.

Go Jauntly is another simple App for the many that just want to go out on a stroll. It’s community-based set up allows users to create walking routes for others to follow. The app champions walking in nature and it could be a way for you to discover new green spaces.

There are many more apps and online tips out there for you to get active and keep fit. Whether you’re training for a marathon or are simply off out on a hike. Exercise and being active can-do wonders for your mental health and overall wellbeing.
