Student accommodation

Derby

Derby is very much alive and kicking as a destination for students and with over 13,000 at last count, it’s hardly surprising that it’s a lively place to be.

Derby is often overlooked as a destination for university, especially with established student cities Sheffield and Nottingham nearby. However Derby has a lot to offer. It’s a small, but thriving, city with many delights to offer.

The Westfield Shopping Centre houses big name stores such as Marks and Spencer, French Connection, H&M, Debenhams and Next.

Derby Arboretum was the first public park in the country. Covering 171⁄2 acres, it is thought to have been one of the inspirations for Central Park, New York.

Derby has a good range of bars for all music tastes and plenty of live music venues. Mosh and Zanzibar nightclubs are popular with students and have various themed nights.
