You said we did at The Trigon
Derwent Living are commited to providing the very best we can in student accommodation and for this we need your views. We carry out two surveys and offer incentives for you to give us your opinions – you said:
Could we have more entertainment in the first semester in order to get to know people but not in the third due to exams and pressure of work?
We gave you:
- A big welcome with a barbeque
- Prize Bingo
- Prize quizzes
- Film Nights
What about recycling facilities?
We are pleased to report that there are now full recycling facilities on site, colour coded to help you do your bit for the environment and clearly signposted
How do we meet people on site?
We kicked off the academic year in September with a free barbeque held in our courtyard, we then followed this up with regular film nights on Tuesdays, Prize Quizzes and Prize Bingo all laid on by your staff team on site.
Our Sofa`s are uncomfortable and not easily cleaned.
We have replaced all the sofa`s within The Trigon with brand new leather sofa`s which the students tell us are much more comfortable and add to their student experience by allowing them to spend more time together in the lounge area.
I’m in University when my parcel is due?
Receiving packages is always difficult in student accommodation so we now have a system whereby providing you have filled in a slip in reception to let us know you are expecting a parcel Derwent Living staff are able to accept packages on your behalf and sign if required. Just be sure to fill in your slip!
The Fridge-freezer is too small
Some of you were struggling with one large fridge-freezer between 6 of you in our six-bed flats – Each 6 bed-flat now has two good sized fridge-freezers!
Get Involved
Derwent Living will be holding focus groups in the near future so that we can continue to improve your living facilities. We would like to hear from anyone who would like to be a part of our focus groups.
