The Pavilion is a state-of-the-art development consisting of 138 studios and 9 one bedroom apartments. The accommodation is fully furnished and stunningly designed, with ¾ beds, en-suite bathrooms and kitchenettes. Rents are all-inclusive and come with free contents insurance and free 20mb broadband.

The accommodation is centrally located, perfect for students at Birmingham City University, University College Birmingham, University of Birmingham and Aston University.

All universities are close by, its only a 10 minute walk to UCB and BCU, 25 minutes to Aston and BCU and a short bus ride or 1 stop train ride to UoB. If you prefer to catch public transport then Broad Street is a short walk away providing plenty of bus routes for you.

Broad Street is Birmingham’s most popular entertainment, leisure and business destination is less than five minutes away. The Bullring and Mailbox are also within walking distance of The Pavilion.

The Pavilion has a shared common room with a wide-screen TV, table tennis and vending machine and also offers coin operated free bike storage and laundrette facilities.

How close is the university?
The University of Birmingham is one stop away on the train; University College Birmingham is a 10 minute walk; Birmingham City University's Conservatoire Campus is 10 minutes' walk away; Aston University and the College of Law are both a 25 minute walk.
How far is the city centre?
Broad Street is just 2 minutes' walk away and New Street is a 15 minute walk.
Where is the nearest supermarket?
Morrison's is a 5 minutes' walk away by the 5 Ways Shopping Centre.
Is there a medical centre nearby?
Bathrow Medical Practice is a 5 minute walk.
Where is the nearest cashpoint?
At the Shell Garage, 1 minute away.
Where is the nearest police station?

What's in my room?
Your room is fully furnished with: bed, underbed storage, comfy chair, desk, desk chair, wardrobe and TV.
What is included in the kitchen?
Kitchens come equipped with: two or four ring electric hob, full size oven, and small fridge with freezer compartment. You will need to provide your own crockery and cooking utensils. Starter packs are available to pre-order before you arrive - see our homepage.
Who cleans my flat?
You are responsible for cleaning your room. There are vacuums, mop and buckets available.
Can I bring a pet?
Sorry, pets are not permitted on any Derwent Students properties.
Where can I do my laundry?
There is a coin operated launderette near the Common Room.
Can I personalise my room?
A large pin board is provided in the bedroom for posters. We ask that you don't put posters on your walls as any damage caused will be chargeable.
Can I have guests to stay?
Guests are permitted for a maximum of 2 nights in any week. Please inform the site staff of any guests staying overnight.
Can I bring my car?
There are no car parking spaces available for residents, so you will have to use the pay and display spaces on the street or find an alternative longer term car park.
Is there anywhere I can store my bike?
There is a bike shed on site which is free to use.
Where do I collect my post from?
Mail is dropped into individual post boxes in the entrance to the building, but parcels can be collected from our office Mon-Fri between 10am-5pm.
How do I report maintenance issues?
You can email, phone or drop a repair request form off in reception. You can also ring the out of hours service number.
Can I change my room?
Depending on availability and circumstances room changes can be arranged. A £50 transfer fee will apply.
Do I need to have a TV Licence?
You will need to purchase a TV licence if you wish to watch or stream live TV in your flat.
What events do you arrange on the site?
We arrange various events throughout the year, including a Christmas Party, Casino Night and Table Tennis Tournament. We welcome suggestions from residents!
What facilities are there on site?
A laundrette, bike storage and a common room with sofas, vending machines, and a large TV.
Can I store my possessions in the summer?
If you are staying with us for the next academic year we may be able to store non-valuable items.
Can I book for summer?
Please speak to the site team directly.
Can I arrive early?
If there are rooms available we can sometimes arrange early arrivals. Additional rent fees will apply - please see the team for more information.
What about safety and security on site?
We have CCTV on site, and there is a fob entry system. Only residents and staff have access to the building. Out of hours assistance is available via a dedicated phone line.
